Making my first own beat

For those of you who don’t already know: I’m currently experimenting with creating little beat loops from samples I’ve found on Splice or created with my MIDI controller. I’m just doing this for fun, so I have no aspirations for myself.

I use Ableton Live, which came with it as a Lite version when I bought my Novation Launchkey Mini MK3 MIDI controller.

I’ve had this MIDI controller for a few months now. It’s a relic from a time when I wanted to set up a home music studio for analytical listening and a little experimentation with music creation. Now it’s the first time I’m actually using it.

Yesterday I finished my first beat loop, fabulously named “First Beat Loop 140BPM”. Feel free to listen to it and tell me what you think. ☺️
